You’ll also get carpet sellers, menu without prices, typical scammy things that you’d experience in India (and maybe morroco and egypt too - but I have not been). Supermarkets became my sanctuary as they are the places which consistently have clear price tags and the prices are the same for everyone.
Admission tickets to main sights like Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, and many museums have two-tier pricing (which is fine) but the scale is rather extreme. And for the money you paid for, you are getting the barebone experience - no free brochure, some doesnt have English translations, some doesnt allow taking photos. I just have the feeling of being ripped off.

I know France is somewhat better when it comes to infrastructure and quality of life but it's been a lifelong dream of mine to live in the UK to marvel at the historic and the antique which I find theirs to be the most beautiful in all of the world, and I've always wanted to experience British pub culture, and walk in the streets of towns that inspired the hobbit.
I also friend Brits somewhat friendly than the french as the french are more reserved whereas Brits wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Not to diss France, I LOVE french literature and culture and I've always wanted to see their art museums and promenade in their beautiful towns.
I love both very much, the decision between the two is very hard for me, help me decide please.
