Sounds great to me, means I can spend more time with my cat rather than having to watch them die of old age in a few years.

The point for humans is that it allows us more time to focus on scientific and technological research, or any other field that requires a long time to study and master. You might have already noticed that today you'd have to study for like 20 to 30 years until you become a known reputable researcher in your field, and then there's very little time left for actual "master-level" research and development before retirement. You'll likely die of old age before you ever see your research having any actual impact on society.
There's just too much information for one person to learn, with very little time, and this will eventually cause scientific research to stagnate (it already has, in some fields) because no one can understand everything they'd need to advance further, it just takes too much time.

Just look at computer science today, for example, and you'll see that very few people understand how both hardware (including at the silicon-level) and software (firmware, kernel, low and high level) truly work. The field has practically remained the same for the past 40 years, because almost nobody is able to learn enough to see the big picture and push for change.
Same thing with physics, by the way. It's no surprise that there's still not a theory of everything. There's very little time, and everyone is just focused on making as much money as possible before retirement. This wouldn't be such an issue if retirement was 200 years into the future.

We either develop an age reversal therapy, or our species is doomed to stagnation from lack of time coupled with too much information for one person to learn.
